RNLI Ladies Go Tartan Barmy!

RNLI Arbroath Lifeboat’s Ladies Guild will be holding a Coffee Morning on  Saturday 4th April. From 10am until 12 noon in the Old & Abbey Church Hall, Arbroath. Tickets £1.  

The coffee morning will have a 'tartan ' theme in conjunction with Tartan Week.  Ladies Guild Presiden Barbara Cargil said “We are 'launching' our Safe Homecomings (keeping the Homecomings theme!) raffle,

For which the main prize will be a Tartan Treasure Trove.”
This hamper will be made up of Scottish related items and Scottish food. Tickets are £1 each.

The draw will take place at the RNLI fundraising Quiz Night on Friday 27th November at the Meadowbank Inn Arbroath. Again as it is near to St Andrews Day we will retain a 'Scottish' theme..

The Arbroath Ladies Guild was setup many years ago to raise funds to help maintain the running of the local lifeboat station at Arbroath, to this day the ladies are responsible for the majority of the funds raised to run the station.
Obviously with today’s current economic climate  it is getting harder and harder for the ladies to raise funds, and they are always on the lookout for new volunteer members to join the guild or even people just to help out.

With fundraising being so challenging this year the guild are putting together a fantastic calendar of events for 2009 to help assist our volunteer lifeboat crew, some of which are listed below…
